    --> Exit code: 1 ^M

Environment

VMware Site Recovery Manager 8.x

Cause

This issue occurs because the extension .vbs is not associated with Microsoft Windows Based Script Host.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, check to see what file extension .vbs is associated with.

For example:

  • For Windows 10, navigate to Settings > Apps > Default apps > Choose default apps by file type.
  • For Windows 7, navigate to Control Panel > Default Programs > "Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program".
  • For Windows 2012R2, navigate to Control Panel > Programs > Default Program > Set Associations.
  • For Windows Server 2019/2022, navigate to Settings > Apps > Default apps > Choose default apps by file type.

If it is not the Microsoft Windows Based Script Host, change it back.
