NSX Manager Plugin Does not Show Up in linked mode vCenter View

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• NSX Manager plugin (Networking and Security) does not show in vSphere web client with linked-mode enabled vCenter Servers.
• In the NSX Manager vsm.log file, you see entries similar to:

• Another account was used to configure the NSX Manager and later changed to [email protected].

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.2.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.1.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 6.0
VMware Update Manager 6.0

Resolution

This issue occurs if the account like domain\NetappUser was used previously with NSX manager and later changed to [email protected].

To resolve the issue, follow either of the options:

• Provide the required permissions to the domain\NetappUser account on vCenter Server.
• Remove all the permissions of the domain\NetappUser account from the vCenter Server. This would enable NSX to start using the new account specified in the GUI for registration.
