What is the '*Backout' LMOD Entry on CONPRT80 and what does it signify?

Resolution

The *Backout entry is a single report entry for all the Backout members in the library.

In the Load library I tested with, there are 3 backout members - the funny named ones starting with the dot:

_________ ....{(|.
_________ .SBCRGS4
_________ .T31AQC1
**End**

The first one is:

*********************************
.Ø.....&TESTPGM1.......wIGZEBST .
س...............................

The second one is:

*******************************
.Ø.....&DEMOSRC1.......wIGZEBST
س.............................

And the last one is:

*********************************
.Ø.....&TESTSRCA.......¶IGZEBST .
س...1..|1Îî..è«..2..|Âð.Â..Âþ.3.

In the CONRPT80 report, it has a *Backout entry of:

*Backout *LOADMOD QA PROBLEMS TESTCASE TESTSRCA COBOL
TESTPGM1 QA PROBLEMS TESTCASE TESTPGM1 COBOL
DEMOSRC1 QA PROBLEMS TESTCASE DEMOSRC1 COBOL
IGZEBST
IGZEBST
IGZEBST
TESTSRCA QA PROBLEMS TESTCASE TESTSRCA COBOL

The *Backup entry is made up of all 3 Backout members - TESTPGM1, DEMOSRC1 and TESTSRCA.

Each Backup member contained an include of IGZEBST so IGZEBST shows up 3 times in the *Backout entry.
