Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
When upgrading prior versions of NSX for vSphere to NSX-v 6.4.0 and TLS 1.0 ONLY is enabled, you see this symptom:

VMware vSphere Web Client displays "No NSX Manager available".

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x

Cause

When you upgrade to NSX for vSphere 6.4.0, the TLS settings are preserved. If you have TLS 1.0 ONLY enabled, you will be able to view the NSX Plugin through the vSphere Web Client, but NSX Managers are not visible.

Note: There is no impact to the datapath, although you will not be able to modify any NSX Manager configuration.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.0.

Currently, there is no resolution.

Workaround:
To work around this issue:
  1. Log in to the NSX Manager Management User Interface (UI) through https://NSXMGR_IP/.
  2. Enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2.
