Individual members of the Load Balancer pool displays no status in NSX

Issue/Introduction

When configuring a Load Balancer pool members with object identifier, you experience these symptoms:

• Pool shows up, although the individual members of the pool displays no status.
• Running the show service loadbalancer pool command on the NSX Edge fails to display information on the pool members.

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.3.x

Cause

This issue occurs because VMware Tools is not installed on the pool member virtual machine.
Object Identifier depends on VMware Tools. If VMware Tools is not installed on the pool member virtual machine, the Object Identifier fails.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.0.

Workaround:
Ensure that VMware Tools is installed on the virtual machines where the pool members are located.
