Issue/Introduction

This article provides deprecation information of the vmonapi service.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x

VMware vCenter Server 8.0.x

Resolution

vmonapi service will be deprecated and removed from future releases.

APIs under "/rest/appliance/vmon/service" will no longer be available. VMware recommends to start consuming these APIs from "/rest/vcenter/services".
