Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 6.7

Cause

“vSphere Health detected new issues in your environment” alarm when CEIP is disabled.  This is a feature in 6.7 U2.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in vCenter Server 6.7 Update 3. 

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:
This alarm is considered negligible if this is only for CEIP is disabled. 

How to check if alarm is being thrown due to CEIP disablement.

1. Login to HTML5 version of vCenter.
2. Open Hosts and Clusters view.
3. In Hosts and Clusters view, click on the very top vCenter object.
4. Click Monitor tab at the top.
5. Under Tasks and Events, click Health.
6. Drop down the Online Heath Availability section of Health screen.
7. Check if Customer experience improvement program (CEIP) is disabled.
