netcpa logs are spammed with the error: "Memory size calculation failed - cannot open /proc/self/maps"

Issue/Introduction

On an ESXi host prepared for NSX, the /var/log/netcpa.log file contains entries similar to:

2018-03-12T00:49:36.308Z error netcpa[3FFDF40F700] [Originator@6876 sub=Memory checker] Memory size calculation failed - cannot open /proc/self/maps
2018-03-12T00:50:36.311Z error netcpa[3FFDF40F700] [Originator@6876 sub=Memory checker] Memory size calculation failed - cannot open /proc/self/maps
2018-03-12T00:51:36.314Z error netcpa[3FFDF40F700] [Originator@6876 sub=Memory checker] Memory size calculation failed - cannot open /proc/self/maps

Resolution

This issue is resolved in:

• VMware NSX for vSphere 6.3.5.
• VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.0.

Additional Information

Impact/Risks: There is no functional impact associated with these logs other than that they result in the netcpa logs rotating at a faster rate.
