Live migration of virtual machines between NSX-T Data Center 2.2.0 and NSX-v over an L2VPN tunnel fails

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• vMotion compatibility check fails while performing vMotion of a virtual machine from VDS to NSX-T N-VDS.
• vMotion fails on the destination host.
• You see the error:
  
  Failed to get DVS state in the restore phase from the source host.

Cause

This issue occurs because VMware vSphere 6.7.x, 6.5 Update 2, and 6.5 Update 1 are not supported for performing live migration (vMotion) of virtual machines between NSX-T and NSX-v.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware vSphere 6.7, 6.5 Update 2 and 6.5 Update 1.

Currently, there is no resolution or workaround.
