Even with fairly small inventories, the inventory display might become available in the vSphere Web Client only after a noticeable delay. For inventories that include more than 500 hosts and more than 5 000 virtual machines, the delay might be fifteen minutes or more.
The exact delay depends on a number of factors, however, in a setup with sufficient CPU, memory, and storage resources, even a large inventory becomes available in approximately twenty minutes.

Resolution
Wait until synchronization between the inventory service and the vSphere Web Client is complete. The synchronization might take more than an hour, though smaller inventories and faster vCenter Server hardware can result in a significantly faster synchronization.
