Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

  • This issue occurs when you have NSX-T profiles configured on vSphere objects.
  • This is not a supported configuration for Cloud Director.
  • The resolution will ensure that Cloud Director will not allow this network to be created in this configuration type.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware Cloud Director 10.3.3.1.

The issue is resolved in VMware Cloud Director 10.4.1, available at Broadcom Downloads.

If you cannot upgrade to VMware Cloud Director 10.4.1, please use the workaround specified in the Workaround section below.

Workaround:
1. From the Provider view, Click Resources > Infrastructure Resources.
2. In the left pane click Segment Profile Templates under NSX-T.
3. In the Global Defaults section, set the Org VDC Networks back to "Not Set".
4. Delete the failed Org VDC Network and retry the vSphere network import steps.
