Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
Subscription getting stuck on 1% under tasks.
Customers attempting to subscribe to an external catalog in VMware Cloud Director version 10.4.1, 10.4.1.1, and 10.4.2 may encounter a specific error during the subscription process.
[####]The following error was encountered while processing the OVF file you provided: Line 490: Invalid value '9' for attribute 'instanceId' on element 'BootOrderSection'..
Environment
VMware Cloud Director 10.x
Cause
The error occurs due to a conflict in the instance IDs when the VMware Cloud Director generates the OVF. Instead of using the source input data, Cloud Director overwrites it with its own instance IDs for the disk and CD ROM. This leads to invalid values being used in attributes like 'instanceId' on the 'BootOrderSection' element.
Resolution
This issue is resolved in Cloud Director versions 10.4.2.1 and 10.5 found here at Broadcom Downloads.
Workaround: There is currently no workaround for this issue, please upgrade to either 10.4.2.1 or 10.5.
