Issue/Introduction

Question:

Is there a CA Librarian global setting for archive level or is it defined in each CA Librarian Master file?

Answer:

There is no global parameter available in CA Librarian to specify the number of archive levels for all CA Librarian Master files. The number of archive levels is set in the individual CA Librarian Master files when they are initialized.

Example:

-OPT INIT,DISK
-OPT ARC=25

Additional Information:

For more information on the -OPT ARC keyword, see the Initialization section in Chapter 3: Disk Master Files  of the CA Librarian System Services Reference Guide.

See TEC1668307 for information on how to change the number of archive levels in an existing CA Librarian Master file.
