Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

After upgrading vCenter 6.0u2 to vCenter 6.5 or later, new 'vCenter Database Health' and 'Host IP Address Conflict' alarms
are missing.


Environment

VMware vCenter Server 6.0.x

Cause


The predefined alarms version in vCenter 6.0u2 is the same as the one in vCenter 6.5 and new 6.5 predefined alarms were not created.

Resolution


Currently, there is no resolution.

Workaround:

To workaround this issue:
  1. Log in to vSphere  web client.
     
  2. Select vCenter -> Configure.
     
  3. Select Advanced Settings filter for alarms.version and set it to 40.
     
  4. Restart vpxd service by running the command :

    service vmware-vpxd start
