Components not seen under "Independent components" view in vSphere Lifecycle Manager

Issue/Introduction

vSphere Lifecycle Manager displays the additional components that can be added to desired state under two views - "Independent components" and "Independent components and Vendor Add-on Components".

Note:If the same component is released as an independent component and also as part of vendor add-on, it will be shown under "independent components and Vendor Addon Components" view only and will not be listed in "Independent components" view.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x

Resolution

To resolve this issue, switch the view to "Independent components and Vendor Addon Components" and select the component.

1. Login to vSphere Client.
2. Click on Menu > Lifecycle Manager > Image Depot Tab > Components
3. Select the drop down to Independent components and Vendor Addon Components.
4. Select the Component.
