Mostly this alert will trigger when VMware-analytics service is in stopped state due to corruption of the service & It can be corrupt if the entries inside the ph-common.xml file are missing or incorrect at the location /etc/vmware-analytics.
Plan of Action 1:
Initially please check the status of the VMware-analytics service if it is in stopped state then we can start it.
service-control --start vmware-analytics
Plan of Action 2:
If the service is already running then try to stop and start again,
service-control --stop vmware-analytics
service-control --start vmware-analytics
Plan of Action 3:
If the above steps do not work and the services cannot be started, proceed with the following actions based on POA below.
This issue will occur when ph-common.xml file are missing or incorrect content inside the file,
at the location /etc/vmware-analytics.
Note :Please take the snapshot of the VC and also take the backup of the file which we are changing.
Once backup is taken, replace the file or content of the file ph-common.xml with any other vCenter where VMware-analytics service running fine and start VMware-analytics service.
