Host profile attempts to change standard gateway

Issue/Introduction

You experience connectivity loss when trying to apply a host profile to a host that requires access to a default gateway different from the one where the profile was extracted.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 5.0

Resolution

For a host profile that you want to apply to hosts connected to different default gateways, perform one of the following:

• Create different profiles. You should perform for hosts with static IP addresses for management interface.
• Edit the host profile after extraction and set the default gateway option to User must explicitly choose the policy option. You should perform this task for hosts with DHCP as the management interface.
