NSX network topology view is incomplete or not working.

Issue/Introduction

• Post upgrade to NSX-T 3.2.x, the network topology view in the NSX UI is incomplete or not working.
• For example, you may have more networking objects than is displayed in the NSX Topology view: Networking - Network Topology.
• In the below example, the environment has: 1 x Tier 0 Logical router; 3 Tier 1 logical routers and 6 x segments.
  • The topology only shows 1 x Tier 1 logical router and 3 segments:

 

Environment

Cause

A known issue can impact indexing of the network topology during NSX initialization. This results in incomplete network topology representation in the UI.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in NSX 4.1.

Workaround:

To re-index the topology invoke the following API: POST /policy/api/v1/ui/network-topology/resync 

If the re-index does not resolve the issue, then try a rolling reboot of all the Managers in the cluster.
