Issue/Introduction

Customers upgrading to NSX-T 3.2.0 may encounter an NSX-T Management Plane upgrade failure during the "run_migration_tool" phase of the upgrade.

Environment

Cause

NSX-T Management Plane upgrade fails at the "run_migration_tool" phase due to a data migration failure.

Resolution

If you encounter this issue, contact Broadcom Support.

NSX-T Data Center 3.2.0.1 includes critical bug fixes for data migration during NSX-T upgrades from prior releases, covered in this KB.  Customers upgrading to NSX-T 3.2.0.1 are strongly encouraged to run the NSX Upgrade Evaluation Tool  before starting the upgrade process. The tool is designed to ensure success by checking the health and readiness of your NSX Managers prior to upgrading.
