Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
Examples of possible errors during Migration Configuration stage of V2T migration:
1. Config migration failed [Reason:HTTP Error: 400: Field level validation errors: {value 300 of property host_infra_traffic_res[7].reservation has exceeded its maximum valid value 75} for url: http://localhost:7440/nsxapi/api/v1/host-switch-profiles]
2. Config migration failed [Reason: HTTP Error: 400: Field level validation errors: {value 250 of property host_infra_traffic_res[8].limit has exceeded its maximum valid value 100} for url: http://localhost:7440/nsxapi/api/v1/host-switch-profiles]


Cause

The array value in the VDS property corresponds to a Traffic Type, as shown below.
This error can occur for different NIOC values, such as Reservation or Limit.

Resolution

In VDS settings, navigate to Configure > Resource Allocation > System traffic to view Network I/O Control configuration.
 
Reduce the value in question to not exceed the maximum valid value, or clear the value, to allow the migration to proceed.

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:
Migrate Configuration step fails, and requires a rollback and new attempt after addressing error.
