Files downloaded via browsers on Linux distros are not analyzed by NSX Distributed Malware Prevention Services (MPS) feature

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
This issue is observed in 4.0.X and 4.1.0

Files downloaded via browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, etc. are not inspected by NSX Distributed Malware Prevention Service (MPS).

1. NSX MPS dashboard does not show any details of file analysis for these files.
2. Such file remains on the endpoint unanalyzed.

Cause

Methods used by browsers on Linux distros for downloading files have been found to escape detection logic used by NSX Distributed MPS.

Resolution

This issue will be resolved in a later NSX release.
