Issue/Introduction
Removing the Trend Micro Deep Security Service Definition fails.
In the vsm.log file of the NSX Manager, you see entries similar to:
The object serviceinstance-18 is in use, this operation cannot be performed. Remove all configuration referring to this object and retry operation.
Performing the REST API call DELETE https://NSXMGR_IP/api/2.0/si/serviceprofile/serviceinstance/serviceinstance-18 fails displaying the same error similar to:
The object serviceinstance-18 is in use, this operation cannot be performed. Remove all configuration referring to this object and retry operation.
Environment
VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere 6.4
Cause
This issue occurs because this is a negative workflow. Service Definition should have been removed through the Trend Management console, but instead it was deleted.
