eCloud Data Master product-line provides a copy data management platform to engage modernization backup/recovery and agile development across the on-premises data center and public cloud, enhancing the value of data services.
To achieve data protection, backup data can be applied to multiple scenarios such as data recovery, disaster recovery, data lifecycle management, cloud data migration, development testing, analysis and query, and compliance auditing. Use pointer-based time-sharing snapshots and permanent incremental synthesis technology to reduce backup time, quickly recover data, save storage costs, and improve data service efficiency.

eCloud Data Master leverages synthetic backup, and instant recovery technologies, and provides a very efficient way to backup and restore VMware virtual machines, thus helping the customer to protect and use VM data much better.
Backup and restore virtual machines deployed on VMware vSAN data store using eCloud Data Master, live mount and live recovery which rely on the ability to present external storage to VMC on AWS

eCloudTech eCloud Data Master can run in many configurations when used with VMware Cloud on AWS. The eCloud Data Master can be completely deployed within VMware Cloud on AWS while utilizing storage resources, via ENI, located within AWS. Each of the systems below refer to the software component of the eCloud Data Master. These components can run together on a single system or can be separated to run on independent hosts, depending on the customer requirements.
eCloud Data Master Server(CDM server) is required which is the core of the deployment. This runs on a Linux server(CentOS) which hosts the eCloud Data Master management interface and configuration and management database. The eCloud Data Master Server(CDM server) is not responsible data movement to or from clients.
The Storage Controller component is the data mover within the eCloud Data Master. It is responsible for managing client backup and restore data being written to or from backup media. In many cases, when using Amazon storage tiers, clients can be configured to send index and metadata information to the Storage Controller while sending the data portion of their backup operations directly to the cloud storage target.
Finally, the VM connector is the software component that interfaces with VMware Cloud on AWS to discover, manage, protect, and restore virtual machines configured for protection within a user environment.
