Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Increasing the Maximum lease(days) value in the lease policy does not increase the lease of existing deployments
  • New deployments done after increasing the lease in the policy will get the new lease.
 Note: Decreasing the Maximum lease(days) value in the lease policy will decrease the lease of existing deployments

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 8.x

Cause

This is by design.  Lease policies  defines constraints on the lease. It is not supposed to be used to perform bulk updates on the deployments.

Resolution

  • Increase the lease of individual deployments using the "change lease" day 2 action.
 Note: Bulk day2 action feature is not currently available in vRA. It is on a future development roadmap
