Enabling vCenter Server HA fails with a more than one datastore error

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Enabling vCenter Server High Available fails with the error:
  
  vCenter HA does not support an Active node having disks on more than one datastore.
  
  
• The virtual machine has a snapshot or ISO attached to the CD/DVD drive.

Cause

This is caused when the vCenter VM has a snapshot or an ISO attached to it when VCHA is enabled.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

1. Remove snapshots from the virtual machine.
2. Set the CD/DVD drive to Client Device.
