Upgrade from NSX-T 3.2.1 GA to 3.2.1.1 EP fails for Global Manager in Federation.

Issue/Introduction

• In NSX-T GM UC UI, the upgrade failed during Unpin UI stage at 50% will be seen.
• Along with the above UI error, below log in /var/log/upgrade-coordinator/upgrade-coordinator.log will be seen.

Notes:

• Upgrades for Local Managers are successful. This issue is specific to Global Managers.
• The preceding log excerpts are only examples. Date, time, and environmental variables may vary depending on your environment.

 

 

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center

Cause

Upgrade Dashboard Resync was using LM API, which was failing in case of GM upgrade.

Resolution

This is fixed in version NSX-T Data Center 3.2.2
