Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
After upgrading to vCenter Server 7.0 Update 2,

You see the event similar to:

Description: dd/mm/yyyy, hh:mm:ss  Trusted Host attestation status unset.
Type: Information
Target: <esxi_FQDN>
Event Type ID: com.vmware.vc.TaHostAttestUnsetEvent

The event is generated in every 5 minutes.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x

Cause

This is an implementation issue in code of vCenter Server 7.0 Update 2.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware vCenter Server 7.0 Update2c.

Workaround:
There is no workaround. However, these events can be ignored safely if the host is not a member of a Trust Authority Trusted Cluster.
