Issue/Introduction

Design Decision: Set host isolation to Power Off and Restart VMs in vSphere HA.

Resolution

Design Justification: vSAN requires that the host isolation response be set to Power Off and to restart VMs on available ESXi hosts.

Design Implication: If a false-positive event occurs, VMs are powered off and an ESXi host is declared isolated incorrectly.
