Create container volume on vSphere 6.7U3 build does not progress

Issue/Introduction

• Occasionally, the create container volume on 6.7U3 builds tasks takes a very long time or might be stuck.
• There is no progress, this results in PVCs not getting in the bound state.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 6.7

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware vCenter Server 6.7 Update 3j. For more information, see Release Notes.

Workaround:

Restart the sps service on vcenter using the command:

# /usr/lib/vmware-vmon/vmon-cli -r sps
