Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
After a fresh installation of an ESXi host, upon reboot, you experience these symptoms:

• An ESXi host fails with a Purple Diagnostic Screen.
• The PSOD contains entries similar to:
  
  BlueScreen: #PF Exception 14 in world 1001390409:HELPER-MISC_ IP ######### addr ######

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 6.7

Cause

This issue occurs due when VMD devices are connected through PCIe switch.

Resolution

This issue is resolved with iavmd driver 2.0.0.1055 or later. Please download from VMware HCL or contact Intel for the latest driver.
