Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
When the customer is using guest introspection (trendmicro) and requires to have file introspection drivers enabled, after upgrading vmware tools to the latest version a bsod is occurring when the driver is enabled. 

Guest VMs crash just after reboot, when VMware Endpoint 'vspepflt' driver is installed in an NSX environment. 

Guest VM BSOD happens just after driver loads while it connects to AV solution.


Environment

VMware vSphere 6.x

Cause

Unselected drivers should be removed during tools upgrade, neither old nor new driver should exist

Resolution

VMware is aware of this issue please do upgrade VMtools to 11.1.5 or later for more information please do check the tools release notes
