"Error attempting Vcintegrity Export file does not exist or is corrupted, abort import" when upgrading vCSA 6.5

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Upgrading vCenter Server Appliance 6.5 fails with the error similar to:
  
  Error attempting Vcintegrity Export file does not exist or is corrupted, abort import
   
• You see entries similar to:
  
  ERROR __main__ Upgrade Phase 'vcIntegrity:Import' failed. Exception: Error attempting Vcintegrity Export file does not exist or is corrupted, abort import

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 6.5.x
VMware vCenter Server 6.0.x
VMware vCenter Server Appliance 6.5.x
VMware vCenter Server 5.5.x
VMware vCenter Server Appliance 6.0.x
VMware vCenter Server Heartbeat 6.5.x

Cause

This issue occurs when you import the vSphere Update Manager information which is running on a separate windows machine.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in vCenter Server 6.5.0c Express Patch 1b, available at VMware Downloads.

Workaround:

To work around this issue if you do not want to apply the patch, un-install the vSphere Update Manager and remove the com.vmware.vcIntegrity extension from MOB.
