Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • "Network connectivity restored on virtual switch "XXXX", portgroups: "XXXX". Physical NIC vmnic0 is up." is shown for following regular VM operations:
    • Powering on a VM
    • Connecting a vNIC of a VM
 
  • In /var/run/log/vobd.log you see entries similar to:

Resolution

 VMware is aware of this issue and this issue is resolved in ESXi 6.7 Update-2

Workaround:
These messages can be ignored after cross checking with the Virtual Machine related operations performed at the same time.
