Issue/Introduction
Symptoms: Whenever you try to apply a vSphere Standard license on a ESXI host that is using a VDS you get the following :
#The selected license does not include the vSphere Distributed Switch feature.
This should be possible according to this doc : https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-NSX-T-Data-Center/3.1/administration/GUID-065D6BE8-1E72-48EB-BD2C-821FA86E1142.html
If you have an NSX-T license, you do not need an Enterprise Plus license for VDS.
Environment
VMware NSX-T Data Center
Resolution
No resolution for now
Workaround:
Put the host into Maintenance Mode
Migrate Management VMK / physical NICs to a Standard Switch
Detach the host from all the DVSs
Apply the license to the host
Re-attach the host to the DVSs and migrate VMK / physical NICs to the DVSs
