Running the 'Update an IaaS Host' workflow for vRA IaaS connections fails with "401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials"

Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
After a password change to the service account, establishing the connection from vRO to vRA IaaS by running the Update an IaaS Host workflow fails with an error similar to:
401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials
Network connectivity from vRO to the vRA IaaS host tests successfully.
service account has the correct permissions on the vRA IaaS host, and the service account can log into the vRA GUI.
Environment
VMware vRealize Automation 7.x
Cause
In some cases, this is occurring due to an issue with the vRA license used in vRO. It is worth checking even if everything else with the license looks good (i.e. you can log into the vRO client and no licensing message are shown).
Resolution
To resolve this issue, verify and update the vRA license used in vRO.
Log into the control center for the affected node.
Navigate to the license page.
Select the vRA license from the dropdown list and confirm the vRA host address is correct.
Click Save and restart the vRO service under the Startup Options page.
