Issue/Introduction

This article provides instructions for increasing the size of the VIC Appliance Disk for Harbor image store. This can be used in scenarios where the storage disk is filling up on the VIC Appliance and additional capacity is needed.

Environment

VMware vSphere Integrated Containers 1.5.x

Resolution

1. Open the vSphere Web Client to the vCenter Server.
2. Gracefully shutdown the VIC Appliance VM.
3. From the VM Edit Settings, increase the size of "Hard Disk 2" to the desired size.
4. Power on the VIC Appliance. The scripts that run on boot up will automatically detect the size change and extend the file system to the new disk size.
