When deploying the VIC Appliance using a vSphere Content Library, the first VMDK (root partition) will have a size of 6GB, making the VIC Appliance unable to start.
Deploy the VIC Appliance as indicated in the "Procedure 1: Deploy the OVA" as noted in
Deploy the vSphere Integrated Containers Appliance .
Workaround:
- SSH to the VIC appliance
- Issue the following command to gracefully shutdown the VIC Appliance:
shutdown -h now
- Once the VIC Appliance is shutdown completely, using the vSphere Web Client, edit the setting of the VIC Appliance VM.
- Extend the affected disks to at least 20 GB and Click OK
- Power On the VIC Appliance
Note: During boot, the partitions on all the disks will be automatically resized.
