Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• The Check for error dumps in ESXi health check in VMware Cloud Foundation returns a YELLOW state
• The sos utility has been used multiple times recently to create log bundles.
• The contents of the /var/core directory on the noted ESXi hosts are only files with objtool or python in their names.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 2.2.x
VMware Cloud Foundation 2.3.x

Cause

This issue can occur when utilities used for collecting VSAN health and performance data are run frequently on hosts when called by the sos command.

Resolution

The noted files can be safely deleted from the affected ESXi hosts.
