The VMware Cloud Foundation Check Discovery Protocol Enabled health check returns a RED state when LLDP is in use

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• The VMware Cloud Foundation Check Discovery Protocol Enabled health check returns a RED state.
• Non-Cisco TOR switches are used in the VMware Cloud Foundation environment.
• You see that the Discovery protocol is set to Link Layer Discover Protocol (LLDP) when viewing the Advanced settings on the distributed switch.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 2.3.x
VMware Cloud Foundation 2.2.x

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware Cloud Foundation. There is currently no resolution.

Workaround:
The Check Discovery Protocol Enabled health check state can be ignored.
