VMware Cloud Foundation configuration backup is not listed under backup list though the backup is successful

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• VMware Cloud Foundation configuration backup is not listed under backup list on theConfiguration backup page though the backup is successful.
• You can see the successful  backups on the SFTP location.
• The SFTP server may be running on a Windows system.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 2.3.x

Cause

The process responsible for listing the backups requires SSH access to the configured SFTP server. If the configured user cannot SSH to the SFTP server, the backup list will be empty.

Resolution

This is a known issue with VMware Cloud Foundation. Currently there is no resolution.

Workaround:
Manually check the SFTP server for the backup files or configure an SFTP server that allows SSH access for the configured backup user.
