[VMC on AWS] Unable to deploy NSX Autonomous Edge with the error "Invalid value 'false' specified for property is_secondary." in vSphere Client (HTML5)

Issue/Introduction

This article provides information on how to avoid NSX Autonomous Edge deployment failure in this scenario.

Symptoms:
You are unable to deploy the NSX Autonomous Edge OVF package in vSphere Client (HTML5) earlier than version 6.5 Update 2d with the error similar to:

Invalid value 'false' specified for property is_secondary.

Cause

This is a known functionality limitation of the vSphere Client (HTML5).
The "Customize template" functionality such as "Deploy this autonomous-edge as a secondary node" parameter in the OVF deployment wizard will be supported only in vSphere Client (HTML5) 6.5 Update 2d or later.

Resolution

Please use vSphere Web Client (Flash) (deprecated) to deploy the NSX Autonomous Edge OVF package.
