[VMC on AWS] How to attach multiple VLAN segments to NSX Autonomous Edge

Issue/Introduction

This article provides information on how to configure multiple VLAN segments on NSX Autonomous Edge.

Resolution

prerequisite:

  • Internal Port of NSX Autonomous Edge has to be connected to a port group enabled trunking.
  • Forged transmits setting has to be "Accept" on that port group.
  • Promiscuous mode setting has to be "Accept" on that port group if a standard switch is used.
  • Promiscuous mode setting has to be "Accept" on that port group or a sink port has to be configured if a distributed switch is used.


1. Access the management page. (https://NSX-Autonomous-Edge-management-ip)
2. 
Login with admin account.
3. Click "PORT".
4. 
Click "ADD PORT" button.
5. Enter "Port Name" and "VLAN" and select Exit Interface which is connected to a trunking port group.
6. Click "SAVE" button.
7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 for adding other VLAN segments.


8. Click "L2VPN".
9. 
Click "ATTACH PORT" button.
10. Select "Session" and "Port" which is defined in step 5.
11. Enter "Tunnel ID" which is configured in VMC.
12. Click "ATTACH".
13. Repeat steps 9 through 12 for attaching other ports.
