Issue/Introduction

• Aria Operations initial installation fails with the error message:
  
  "Previous installation attempt failed with the following errors: Operation failed. If the error persists, contact VMware support."
  
  
• All configuration parameters seem to be correct
• When attempting to open the /admin UI, the following error message is presented:

 

 

 

Environment

VMware vRealize Operations 8.6.x

Cause

Password configured does not meet complexity requirements.

Password must contain all 4 character classes (Capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers and special characters).

Acceptable special characters include !@#$%^&*+=

Resolution

Retry the deployment using a password which meets the criteria discussed above in the Cause section
