Resolve the issue

Symptoms:

Consolidation shows completed or successful but it is not really completed or successful.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0

Cause

Known issue

Resolution

• Create snapshot on problematic VM.
• Delete all snapshots on problematic VM but issue not resolved (it shows completed immediately).
• Created a temp folder in the VM folder directory.
• Moved all ctk and vmsd files to the new temp folder.
  • mv *-ctk.vmdk temp/
  • mv *.vmsd temp/
• Reload the VM vmx file running the command below.
  •  vim-cmd vmsvc/reload vmid
• Create snapshot on problematic VM again.
• Delete all snapshots on problematic VM again.
• The last delete task should be successfull.
