Issue/Introduction

The Content Library Summary Storage section has no name next to the Datastore field

Content Library Status appears as ? Unknown

If the affected Content Library is a subscribed library, synchronization fails.

The UI error is given:

A specified parameter was not correct: The provided storage backing Datastore:datastore-12345:abcdefgh-1234-5678-9123-abcdefghijk for library xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx does not exist,the storage backing might be removed, disconnected, or no longer accessible via Datastore:datastore-2345:abcdefgh-1234-5678-9123-abcdefghijk.

Environment

vCenter Server 6.x
vCenter Server 7.x
vCenter Server 8.x

Cause

The datastore backing the Content Library is no longer accessible or available.

Resolution

Currently, there is no resolution.

Workaround:
As a workaround, the affected Content Library should be rebuilt.
