Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:  

 

After installing CA DADS Plus for CICS into a CTS 5.2 region the client receives the following messages at CICS initialization time

 

DP1040: CA-DADS/PLUS MODULE OVERRIDE INITIALIZATION PROCESSING STARTED

DP1045: CA-DADS/PLUS MODULE OVERRIDES UNSUPPORTED FOR THIS RELEASE OF CICS

DP1006: MODULE IN25OPTS IN LIBRARY INTSYM85.ALLGA.CACICS68 OVERRIDE UNSUPPORTED,

 

Also if you try to use the DADS online menu to issue any module overrides you will receive message

 

DP783: MODULE OVERRIDES UNSUPPORTED FOR THIS RELEASE OF CICS

 

Cause:

 

Due to changes to CTS 5.2 the CA DADS Plus for CICS module override feature could not be supported and was removed from the product.

 

Resolution:

 

The client must remove any module overrides they currently have setup. Current overrides will be ignored.

The Module override feature was removed by CA DADS Plus for CICS PTF RO70937

 

Title: CTS 5.2 DADS SUPPORT

Module override processing will not be supported in CTS 5.2 or any future releases of CICS. It is still supported for releases of CICS prior to CTS 5.2 that are still supported by IBM.

Module overrides will be ignored at CICS startup time. You will be able to review and remove the existing overrides from CA DADS Plus for CICS using the standard process.
