CADDSPL writes a CADD250I message whenever a SYSOUT is deleted from the LDS files. A CADD251I message may also be written. By default, the CADD250I and CADD251I messages are written to the Dispatch message log, to the external archive log (if the external archive is used), to the operator console and to the system log.
An example of what these particular messages look like follows:
CADD250I JOBxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxx PURGED RC=00 Flags=YN N Y NNNN
CADD251I File xxxxxxxx- Status yy - 1st Block zzzzzzzz
Special Feature 63 (FEAT063) allows you to dictate where (or if) these particular messages are written.
The option settings available with FEAT063 are:
N-Normal (default) processing
The messages CADD250I and CADD251I are written to Dispatch message log, to the external archive log (if the external archive is used), to the operator console and to the system log.
S-System log suppression
The messages CADD250I and CADD251I are written to Dispatch message log, to the external archive log (when external archive is used), to the operator console, but not to the system log.
Y-Complete suppression
The messages CADD250I and CADD251I are not generated at all.
If you think that you might be interested in changing where these messages are written to or perhaps suppressing them altogether, the APARS that provide Special Feature 63 are RO83346 and RO83222.
Details regarding the implementation of Special Features can be found in Chapter 7: Starting Your Product, Prepare to Start Your Product, Activate Special Features (Optional) of the Dispatch Installation Guide. And after installation, to activate Special Features you'll need to recycle the Dispatch main task.
