Issue/Introduction

If this is due to false alert

  • Time service is currently not synchronized error seen on host after upgrading to version prior to ESXi 7.0 U3i
  • NTP is synchronized (in ntpq -p command) and the time service monitoring function is sending false alerts

For example
ntpq - p
remote                     refid            st  t   when     poll  reach     delay      offset jitter
==============================================================================
*example.domain. <ipaddress>             2    u 985   1024 377 2.649 +0.206 1.544 <-- NTP is in-sync.

NOTE: For NTP itself fails to sync (which causes valid alerts) refer to KB -ESXi host has lost time synchronization error prior to version ESXi 7.0 Update 3c
