Unable to apply a vRealize Cloud license to vRealize Operations using vRealize Suite Lifeycle Manager

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Applying a vRealize Cloud Universal license on vRealize Operations succeeds in vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager the license is not applied to vRealize Operations
• While importing a vRealize Operations instance in the Cloud Universal flow in vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.6.0, the key applies successfully but the new license is not found in vRealize Operations
• A perpetual license key is already applied in vRealize Operations

Environment

VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.x
VMware vRealize Operations 8.x

Cause

vRealize Operations versions earlier than 8.6 do not allow adding a temporary license on top of a perpetual license.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting vRealize Operations versions earlier than 8.6.

Workaround:
To workaround the issue:

1. Upgrade vRealize Operations to version 8.6.0
2. Upgrade vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager to version 8.6.0
