VMWare Smarts Assurance IP: Juniper Virtual System Switch discovers Line Card with IP of 0.0.0.0 and generates a False Down Alert

Issue/Introduction

To provide information on this known issue.

Symptoms:
Juniper VirtualSwitchSystem member switch reports False Down after a rediscovery or Discover All is run
The member switch is discovered as a [LineCard] vs {Master]/[Backup] with an IP of 0.0.0.0.

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

Discovery code is deleting the VSS switch and causes the VSS or LineCard object to show an IP address of 0.0.0.0 .

Resolution

The issue has been identified in Smarts 10.1.2.x  and will be available in a future release of VSA IP 10.1.x   
This will be post VSA 10.1.7                                                                             

Workaround:
At this time there is not a workaround.
